The music is served "shaken, not stirred" every week on The Retro Cocktail Hour. Here you'll find vintage recordings from the dawn of the Hi-Fi Era - imaginative, light-hearted (and sometimes light headed) pop stylings designed to underscore everything from the backyard barbecue to the high-tech bachelor pad. Among the artists featured on The Retro Cocktail Hour are lounge legends like Frank Sinatra and Juan Esquivel; tiki gods Martin Denny and Les Baxter; swinging cocktail combos featuring The Three Suns and Jack "Mr. Bongo" Costanzo; and mambo king Perez Prado. The series also spotlights up and coming lounge/exotica artists, including Waitiki, Ixtahuele, the Tikiyaki Orchestra, Big Kahuna and the Copa Cat Pack, the Voodoo Organist and many more. Thick & Fabulous is a show that talks about, celebrates, and offers support for all the joys and challenges associated with women's health. Especially women of color who are in their 40's and older. We will discuss everything from dating to trying to snatch back that waist after having children and the daily stress of life all while living on a budget. As we get older our metabolism slows down and many of us begin to get "thick" around the waist, and it becomes harder to lose weight. However, that doesn't negate how fabulous you are. We will laugh, cry, vent, and get informed about all the things that affect our health and most importantly, support each other as we become Thick & Fabulous.
